ACENSI BELGIUM is looking for his client a Senior Cybersecurity Risk & Project Manager
CONTEXT
The client is a public financial institution responsible for the stability of the national financial system and the reliability of the institutions operating within it. Its core missions include maintaining price stability, overseeing the financial sector, ensuring the security of payment systems and banknotes, and producing economic and financial analyses. Within its Cyber Security & Risk Management team, the client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead strategic cyber security initiatives in a regulated, high-security environment. The selected consultant will act as a central delivery lead, coordinating security, IT, audit, architecture, and business stakeholders.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead and deliver cyber security and risk management projects end-to-end, from initiation to audit-ready closure.
• Define and maintain project roadmaps, risk registers, issue logs, budgets, and reporting dashboards.
• Drive GRC initiatives, including criticality assessments, issue registers, third-party risk inputs, and control mapping.
• Coordinate internal and external security audits (e.g. ISAE Type I / II), ensuring structured evidence collection and remediation tracking.
• Ensure compliance and alignment with security frameworks and standards (ISO 27001, NIST,CIS).
• Act as the primary interface between security teams, IT, audit, architecture, vendors, and senior stakeholders.
• Drive process optimisation and automation to reduce manual reporting and improve traceability.
PROFILE
Senior-level professional with proven experience as a Cyber Security Project Manager or Programme Manager in complex, regulated environments. Strong background in risk management, security governance, and compliance is required. Experience with financial institutions, public sector organisations, or EU institutions is considered a strong asset.
